Gender: Male
Age: Unknown
Family:
Unnamed wife
Skin color: White
Hair color: Charcoal grey
Eye color: Unknown
Status: Deceased
Appearances: The Unusual Suspects
Mr. Grumpner was a sixth grade teacher at Ferryport Landing Elementary. He was a very cruel teacher with a short temper, and he gave students like Wendell humiliating punishments. Despite this, he was called one of the school's best teachers. Mr. Grumpner was married. He was killed by a member of the Scarlet Hand, Toby Arachnid.

It is important to note, however, that not much of Mr.Grumpner's behaviour is known prior to The Unusual Suspects, so it is possible that his angry behaviour is (partly) due to his frustration at teaching students who seemingly cannot be bothered to learn. (Unbeknownst to him, the students are being used by the Hand for their own evil purposes, leading to their heavily fatigued demeanor. See The Unusual Suspects for more details. )

Biography

When Sabrina Grimm is forced to attend school (at the behest of Minerva Smirt, her case-worker), she is placed in Mr.Grumpner's class. Immediately, she finds issue with the teacher as his short temper is very evident in the way he is addressing the class. After being given a text-book with an important page ripped out, Sabrina puts up her hand and asks for a new one, only to see a vein in her teacher's forehead throb with anger.

Physical Appearance

Mr. Grumpner had charcoal-colored hair and sagging jowls. His appearance reminds Sabrina of a deflated birthday balloon after the fun's over. He usually scowls.
