The Little Mermaid is the title character of the fairy-tale by Hans Christian Andersen and an Everafter who lives in the river next to Ferryport Landing.
The Problem Child
In "The Problem Child," Sabrina, Daphne, and Jake meet her in the bottom of the Hudson River during their search for the pieces of the Vorpal Blade. As Daphne quickly discovers, her story did not end with "happily ever after" as the prince of her story left her for another woman. She never recovered from her heartbreak and developed a binge eating disorder, leading to her becoming further depressed and volatile. Jake flirts with her in order to obtain the piece of the sword, to which she responds happily until Daphne makes a comment about thinking her story was romantic (she had seen the movie) that enrages the mermaid leader. She orders that the three Grimms to be fed to the Cruel Crustacean, a huge crab that nearly kills them.
Personality
The Little Mermaid, being a princess, is very bossy and often contradicts her own wishes. For example, she orders one of her servants to bring her cake, even though she had previously commanded him to not feed her snacks. She then has him fed to the Cruel Crustacean. Similarly to the Queen of Hearts, she sees execution as the solution to her troubles with other people.
Physical Description
The Little Mermaid, though overweight, is still described as a beauty with flowing red hair and green eyes.
