The Wand of Merlin is a powerful magical object. Jake bought the wand from a man who thought it was a back-scratcher. He gives the wand to Sabrina, who uses it to decorate the house for Christmas and to fight the Jabberwocky. The wand is operated by picturing the desired result and saying "gimme some X" (X being the desired object/result i.e. "gimme some lightning" and "gimme some Christmas"). In Book 3, The Problem Child, Baba Yaga wants the wand in exchange for a piece of the Vorpal Blade. Sabrina refuses to give the wand to her and is then turned into a frog by Baba Yaga. After that experience, the Grimm's give the witch the wand. In book 5, Magic and Other Misdemeanors, the wand is stolen from by Tom, the husband of Cinderella, and his mice to create a machine to make him look younger and live forever so he can be with his wife.
