The Big Bad Wolf, commonly known as the Wolf, was created when the rabid spirit of a wolf was put into a human man's body. The man, Tobias Clay, then transformed into a gigantic wolf and wreaked havoc.

See Mr. Canis for more details.

History[]

The Big Bad Wolf in the Sisters Grimm series is an amalgamation of different villainous wolves involved in several classical fairy-tales, the main two being Little Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs.

The Three Little Pigs[]

The Wolf used to possess the magical item known as The North Wind and used it most famously to blow down two of the three houses of the Three Little Pigs.

The Three Little Pigs were able to defeat the Wolf by tricking him and taking away the North Wind.

Little Red Riding Hood[]

Because the Wolf ate Red's grandmother, the girl has a hard time trusting Mr. Canis after she regains her sanity. Red had previously wanted the Wolf to complete her family in the role of the puppy.

With Prince Charming[]

Prince Charming had a long-standing grudge against the Wolf, which escalated when Charming hunted for the Wolf and was left tied up in the forest of Ferryport Landing.

Personality[]

The Wolf is shown to be sadistic and delights in the terror he creates in others. Mr. Canis is able to keep the Wolf in control until he fights Jack the Giant Killer and tastes his blood during the fight. He threatens to eat members of the Grimm family and others on multiple occasions. However, he showed disgust when Rumplestiltskin was enjoying the rage the Wolf provided, possibly because it took the fun out of scaring people with his rage or because he was disgusted with the fact that he was being used, and gave a look to Sabrina that said “Can you believe this guy?“. Because of this, for the first time ever, the Wolf actually agreed with the Grimms to take him down.
