Dessie Grimm was a member of the Grimm family who lived from 1835 to 1850. She was a blood member of the family, being the only daughter of Douglas Grimm I and Delores Grimm. It can be assumed that she was well acquainted with the family business of being fairy-tale detectives. She is the great aunt thrice removed of Sabrina and Daphne, the protagonists of The Sisters Grimm series.
Dessie was the youngest child born to her parents, having two older brothers: Spaulding Grimm and Thomas Grimm. As Thomas died in his childhood, Dessie would only have known him for a year at most.
Dessie died prematurely, at the age of 15.
Etymology[]
Dessie is a variant of the French name Desiree, which comes from the Latin root word desiderium, meaning longing or desire.
