I calm down animals, even put them into hypnotic states. I guess you could say I'm the monster whisperer.
~ Beauty, from Tales from the Hood

Beauty is the Everafter princess of the story Beauty and the Beast. She is married to the Beast though it seemed that they were going to split up after he joined the Scarlet Hand. She has a daughter with the Beast, but they only recently got her back after having sold her to Rumpelstiltskin as a baby. She has a dog named Mr. Wuggles that she spoils.

Appearance[]

As her name would indicate, the woman is beautiful. She is described as having amber-colored curly hair and wore a blue dress in her first appearance, although the rest of her outfits later on are described as being fashionable in the modern terms.

Personality[]

Even though she is beautiful, it can be inferred that she is vain: Little John said that she would refuse to leave the house if there was a hair out of place, and she claims that the only things she wants is a new pair of shoes every day for the rest of her life.

At first, she hated the Grimms since they kept her and the other EverAfters prisoner. After they returned her daughter to her, Beauty became an ally of the Grimms and an enemy of the Scarlet Hand( though she didn't want her relationship with the Grimms to be known out of fear of the Scarlet Hand). She wanted to be a good mother to Natalie and to teach her right from wrong, and possesses a strong moral side after her husband joins the Scarlet Hand (which she describes as a group of arsonists). Beauty eventually helped arrest her own husband but she evidently still loves him deeply, and hints that she intends to bail him out.

Power[]

Beauty has the power to hypnotize animals, and she uses this power to get to Mr. Canis' memories of the Little Red Riding Hood incident.
